The Ramisco is one of the last rootless grape varieties in Europe, and the area under cultivation is shrinking dramatically. Let’s save this treasure together – by simply enjoying it.

Ramisco was long considered the “wine of the elite” and the “Bordeaux of Portugal” – now it is an insider tip.

At its peak, 1,500 hectares of vines were cultivated – today there are still 14 hectares.

The wine is deep red, fruity and aromatically very diverse – rounded off by the salty touch of the Atlantic.

The typical sandy soil saved the Ramisco in the phylloxera plague at the end of the 19th century.

We promote tourism that is in harmony with the needs of local people. With more class and less mass. In addition, our tours often take place outside the main tourist season. This way, our Winebuddys are among themselves and our local partners gain economic predictability.
We strengthen rural structures and regional agricultural traditions. Through the additional income and sales associated with our visits, our partners can maintain their established economic forms. This preserves natural and cultural areas and protects the environment.
We are constantly optimizing our road trips in terms of ecological footprint. In addition to climate-neutral travel, these include e-bikes and hiking tours instead of cars and the selection of partners (hotels, restaurants, etc.) with a high commitment to sustainability.
Together with our partners, we ensure that the purchase of wine and food by you is as resource-friendly as possible. Traditional production contributes to this just as much as light packaging or climate-neutral shipping.
